All natural, local, grass and grain fed Angus Beef

3 Circle Farms & VanDenBerg Angus

VanDenBerg Angus & 3 Circle Farms have partnered together for over 10 years to provide you the best tasting, most flavorful, locally raised Angus Beef. The calves are born and raised at VanDenBerg Angus. They are kept with their mothers on pasture all summer and are weaned at the appropriate age. The calves are then shipped to us at 3 Circle Farms. We feed hay that we grow and corn with a mineral supplement. The calves have plenty of open space and pasture to roam.

“Fab – u – lous, probably the best steak I’ve ever had, thanks for growing such tasty beef.”

FAQ

Q:What kind of beef do they raise and what do they feed it?

A: Our beef is fed hay that we grow, grass, and corn with minerals. These are either pure black angus or angus hereford-cross, all-natural beef.

Q: Can I have it processed the way I want and how does that work?

A: Yes! We slaughter right at our farm, this reduces stress on the animal rather than bringing it somewhere else unfamiliar. It is then brought to Byron Center Meats to be cut-up and packaged. You give them you’re cutting instructions, how thick for steaks, lbs per packages, how big for roasts etc., and they process just the way you want and vacuum seal and freeze.

Q: How big is a ½ beef?

A: A ½ averages 350 lbs. hanging weight, that will pretty much fill an upright freezer. There is loss of weight in the processing so your lbs of meat will be less than 350lbs.

Q: How much does it cost and how do I pay.

A: The cost is approximately $4.15 per pound of hanging weight. That includes the processing. Payment is made in 3 installments, at the beginning to purchase the animal ($550 per ½) 4-5 months later for feed ($400 per ½) and balance at end determined by hanging wt.

Q. What if a ½ is too much for me?

A. Most customers find someone to split the ½ with, there is an extra charge for ¼’s but not for “split ½’s”.

Q. Is this type of beef addicting?

A. Most definitely, caution should be taken when starting this process as you will be unwilling to buy beef from the store or a steak at a restaurant again!
